She’s been down all summer, but some shit is gonna go down today. I was waiting for it to cool off, but it was 100F yesterday and I’m tired of waiting. Time to sweat.

What transmission? Is that a torque converter

It’s a TH350 rebuilt by Hughs Performance with a Hughs Performance torque converter. The TH350 is the standard auto transmission put in GM vehicles from the late ‘60s until into the ‘90s. It’s a fairly bullet proof 3 speed auto.

You need to leave that hellhole. It’s 44 degrees here.

You just wait it out, and then you’re rewarded with a 70F “winter”. 100F is actually not bad when you have 0% humidity. Especially when we had a 120F day this year.

70 in the winter? That sounds truly awful. People aren’t meant to live in that kind of climate. I’ll keep my -30 winters, thanks!

I wish more people had your mindset and would stop coming here in the winter or moving here in general. It does get colder in the northern part of the state, so I can take a beautiful 2 hour drive and have a real winter. When I lived in Tucson, all I had to do was drive up Mt. Lemmon, and in 45 minutes I’d be at 9k feet and a completely different climate.

I don’t like people either. Probably why I stick around up here.

I like people to a certain degree, but I’m in the middle of a desert, and we only have so much water.

the one coming out is a long tail th350, and the one going in is a medium length tail th350....... there are also short tail th350, used in 4x4 applications, and some cars(which the shaft can be cut to fit in 4x4 aps). 1st gear is usually 3.50:1 2nd 1.75:1 3rd 1:1 ........... mostly reliable, and common as dirt......
